5 Things to Know About the Late Actor Who Died – Hollywood Life

Chance Perdomo had his life ahead of him. The young actor had risen to acclaim thanks to his roles in multiple television series and films. However, the late Los Angeles native died on either March 29 or early March 30, 2024, after reportedly driving his motorcycle through Upstate New York on the way to Toronto to begin filming season 2 of Gen V. Perdomo was just 27 years old.

In a statement obtained by Variety, Perdomo’s publicist confirmed the news of his tragic death.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” the statement read. “Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”

The producers behind Gen V also released a statement, writing that they couldn’t “wrap [their] heads around” Perdomo’s death.

“For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person,” the producers wrote in a joint statement. “Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”

Chance Perdomo Was British

Though born in L.A., in October 1996, Perdomo was British, having been raised in Southampton, England. He eventually moved to London to pursue acting shortly after graduating from high school.

He Almost Studied Law

Before committing to show business, Perdomo thought about taking up law school, per Variety. During high school, he was chosen to be president of the sixth form’s student union, according to multiple outlets.

Chance Starred in the ‘After’ Movies

After starring in the short films Longfield Drive and The Importance of Skin, Perdomo landed the role of Lance in the After movie series. He appeared in After We Fell, After Ever Happy and After Everything. His next posthumous role in Bad Man is reportedly in post-production.

He Earned Multiple TV Roles

Apart from movies, Perdomo was also known for his performances in Gen V as Andre and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as Ambrose.

Perdomo’s first major television role came in 2017, earning a recurring character in Hetty Feather. In 2018, he was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Killed by My Debt.

Chance Died From a Motorcycle Accident

Per his publicist’s statement, Perdomo died from a motorcycle collision. The crash occurred in Upstate New York either in the late hours of March 29 or the early morning hours of March 30, 2024, according to Deadline.
