Tabu is now making her mark internationally with her latest Hollywood project, the high-budget HBO series Dune: Prophecy. Portraying the character of Sister Francesca, Tabu did not appear in the series premiere episode, which aired last week to largely positive reviews. She has now shared details on when fans can expect her on screen.

Tabu unveiled a new look as Sister Francesca and announced that her highly anticipated episode of Dune: Prophecy will air on December 16 in India. Sharing the update on Instagram, she wrote, “Prepare for a new Sister to show her strength. The #DuneProphecy episode featuring Tabu premieres December 15 on Max and December 16 in India on Jio Cinema.” The official Dune: Prophecy account added to the excitement and commented, “Your potential in the Order is endless.”
The announcement drew enthusiastic reactions, with comedian Zakir Khan calling Tabu a “Goddess.” Actress Urvashi Rautela expressed her excitement, commenting, “Woahh liveee n lovee u Tabu man… Only gonna watch it for youuu.” Huma Qureshi also showed her admiration by posting multiple heart emojis.
Fans were buzzing with excitement, eagerly discussing Tabu’s upcoming appearance in Dune: Prophecy. One fan expressed, “I can’t wait to whistle when you make your grand entry as Sister Francesca.” Another praised her presence, saying, “This frame screams power,” emphasizing the commanding role Tabu is set to portray.
Dune: Prophecy, which premiered in India on November 18, will have seven episodes, with the finale set to air on December 30. Co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television, the series is led by showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker, with Diane Ademu-John also serving as an executive producer. In addition to Tabu, who plays Sister Francesca, the series boasts a star-studded cast, including Emily Watson, Jessica Barden, Chloe Lea, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Olivia Williams, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, and Jade Anouka.
Dune: Prophecy, set 10,000 years prior to Paul Atreides’ ascent, revolves around two Harkonnen sisters as they confront threats to humanity’s survival and establish the origins of the Bene Gesserit order.
This year, Tabu appeared in Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon and was also featured in Ajay Devgn’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.
