It’s all over for Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan as the collections have come down crashing on the make-or-break Monday test. According to early estimates, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan collected around Rs. 2.25 to 2.50 crores on the fifth day, taking the five-day total to Rs. 40 crores. These collections have come in after the dhamakedaar offer of tickets being priced at Rs. 127 in select cinemas.
The film has crash-landed across the board and is headed to emerge as one of the biggest disasters of Hindi Cinema. Made on a budget of over Rs. 350 crores, the losses will be staggering. While the numbers in multiplexes have come down crashing, what’s surprising is hardly any support from the mass belts as an action film with action stars should have done better business on single screens. The collections are hardly impressive, and the lifetime business will be under Rs. 60 crores if present trends are anything to go by.
