As per multiple reports, Zakir Hussain was hospitalised in San Francisco after his heart condition got critical and he was soon declared dead. However, now reports have emerged on the internet that the Tabla maestro is alive but in critical condition.
A man named Ameer Aulia, claiming to be Zakir Hussain’s nephew, declared the tabla maestro alive
While the entire world was mourning the death of Zakir Hussain, the news of him not being dead confused us all. A man named, Ameer Aulia took to his X account and claimed that Zakir Hussain is alive and not dead. All the reports about his death are rumours. Ameer added:
“I am Zakir Hussain’s nephew, and he has not passed away. We ask for prayers for my uncle’s health. Can you please remove this misinformation? He is in a serious condition, and we ask fans worldwide to pray for his recovery.”
Ameer accepted that Zakir Hussain is hospitalised for treatment and is in critical condition, but he is not dead. He further asked all fans and well-wishers to pray for Zakir’s speedy recovery. It is important to note that no official confirmation about Ameer being Zakir’s nephew has been found; similarly, no one from Zakir’s family has officially announced his death. But MIB has posted about Zakir’s unfortunate passing, confusing us all about what to believe. Ameer further added:
“My uncle Zakir Hussain is very much alive, and we urge the news media not to spread misinformation. We ask for prayers and well-wishes from everyone.”
Zakir Hussain’s sister, Khurshid Aulia reveals he is alive
Talking to Indian Expres, Zakir Hussain’s sister, Khurshid Aulia, revealed that the Tabla maestro is alive. He is in a very critical condition, fighting for his life, but he is still breathing. She asked everyone to pray for his life and shared that she is in touch with the family and Zakir is alive. In her words:
“He is still alive. Please, I request you to pray for him. I am in touch with the family. He is very critical, but he is still breathing.”
Legendary Tabla player, Zakir Hussain hospitalised
On December 15, 2024, journalist, Pervaiz Alam took to his X (Twitter) and shared the saddening news. He revealed that Zakir Hussain’s brother-in-law, Ayub Aulia, had confirmed the tabla maestro’s hospitalisation over a phone call. Aulia, who is based in London, had made a heartfelt request to fans and followers to keep Zakir in their prayers and wish for his speedy recovery. However, later, on the same day, it was reported that the legend had bid adieu to the world. Pervaiz Alam had tweeted:
“Ustad Zakir Hussain, Tabla player, percussionist, composer, former actor and the son of legendary Tabla player, Ustad Allah Rakha is not well. He’s being treated for serious ailments in a San Francisco hospital, USA, informed his brother in law, Ayub Aulia in a phone call with me. Aulia sahab, based in London, has requested Zakir’s followers to pray for his speedy recovery.”
