Pratibha Sinha was born in Kolkata on July 4, 1969, to her parents, Chidambar Prasad Lohani and Mala Sinha. Right from an early age, Pratibha was inclined towards acting due to the fact that her mother, Mala Sinha was a legendary actress of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
Even her father, Chidambar Prasad was a renowned Nepali singer and actor. As a result, Pratibha followed in her parents’ footsteps and ventured into acting. She made her acting debut with the film, Mehboob Mere Mehboob in 1992.

Pratibha Sinha and Nadeem Saifi came closer while working together in the films, Kal Ki Awaz and Raja Hindustani.
Interestingly, Nadeem Saifi was married at that time to his wife, Sultana, when he fell in love with Pratibha Sinha. The actress knew about Nadeem’s marriage but continued dating him, as she was madly in love with the music director. Soon, their dating reports started creating a noise in the media corridors. However, even after going to Chennai, Pratibha and Nadeem continued their relationship and started planning to get married. As per a report in Jansatta, Pratibha boldly stated in an old interview that she wanted to marry Nadeem Saifi. However, their relationship took an unusual turn when Mala Sinha and Pratibha organised a press conference in Mumbai, in which the latter accused Nadeem Saifi of kidnapping and rape.

Talking about the same, Nadeem stated that both Pratibha and his mother, Mala Sinha played with him by publicly making false accusations against him. The music director added that Mala and Pratibha wanted publicity, so they tarnished his image with false allegations.

Pratibha Sinha reportedly received a lot of backlash when Nadeem Saifi was named co-suspect in the iconic music producer and the founder of T-Series, Gulshan Kumar’s murder case. For the uninitiated, Mumbai Police declared Nadeem as the prime suspect in Gulshan Kumar’s murder case. Mumbai Police Commissioner Ronald H Mendonca even alleged during a press conference that Nadeem hired goons who killed Gulshan Kumar. As per the police reports, Nadeem was in close contact with the brother of a famous Dubai-based gangster.

The ace music director was in London with his wife, when his name was mentioned in Gulshan Kumar’s murder case. After learning about the same, he refused to come back to India. However, in the following years, Mumbai Sessions Court acquitted him of all the charges against him in Gulshan Kumar’s murder case. Despite clearing him of all the charges, the arrest warrant that was issued in his name wasn’t taken back by the court. Currently, while Pratibha Sinha is living an anonymous life with her mother, Mala Sinha, in Mumbai, Nadeem is living in London with his family.
