The Kapoor family is one of the most influential families in Bollywood, and it began when Prithviraj Kapoor entered the industry. They gave multiple successful actors to the industry, like Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and more. However, the Kapoor clan went through a difficult time with the deaths of Rishi Kapoor and his younger brother, Rajiv Kapoor, within a short period.
Riddhima Kapoor recalls how the family dealt with losing two family members within a few months
Riddhima Kapoor is the daughter of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. She is also the sister of Ranbir Kapoor, and down for an interview with Anushka Arora. Riddhima said that the family went through a difficult time with the deaths of Rishi Kapoor (2020), Rajiv Kapoor (2021), and later, her aunt Ritu Nanda (2021). However, she revealed that these deaths brought the family closer to each other. She was quoted as saying:
“We’ve got closer since then. A little bit. We just look out for each other, so it’s just brought the family very very close because a lot of people, a lot of family members have passed on. I am not talking about my immediate family, I am talking about even the extended family.”

Riddhima shared that her extended Kapoor family has become more united. Although they don’t meet regularly, they check on one another frequently to ensure everyone is doing fine. Despite everyone staying in different places or cities, the family members FaceTime one another to keep a tab on what is happening in the lives of other family members.
Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he had one regret after the death of his father, Rishi Kapoor
Before Riddhima, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his father’s death, Rishi Kapoor, at a promotional event for his last release, Animal. Ranbir recalled that he often felt that he didn’t spend enough time with his father, who used to be busy with his shooting. He could not sit and chat with him, and Ranbir had that regret with him. In his words:
“We couldn’t just sit and chat, and I really have that one regret in my life. I wish I could be friends with my father. I wish I could share more with him, which is one regret I always live with. I respected him but we were never friendly. But I’m glad I have a daughter to love. When God takes away something, he also gives something back.”
