Samantha Ruth Prabhu supports Kangana Ranaut’s cryptic message on women’s power: “Caged people believe that…”
Kangana Ranaut’s Reflection on Witches and Women’s Power
It all began when a social media user posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Don’t be afraid of witches; be afraid of the ones who burned them.” Kangana Ranaut, intrigued by the post, responded with a powerful reflection: “Witches are women who are connected to their higher self; their intuition, infectious free spirit, indomitable willpower, and uncontrollable urge to break all boundaries make them mysterious, frightening, and threatening to those who are caged and cursed.”
Kangana continued, touching on the theme of jealousy and self-liberation: “Caged people believe that gifted people have some evil powers and they must be burnt to ashes; misery exists in so many forms and jealousy is the most miserable of them all. You can choose to be jealous or be inspired, make a smart choice. Those who choose to be inspired are the chosen ones, break the cage and break free.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu Shows Her Support
Soon after Kangana’s post gained attention, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has previously shared her admiration for Kangana’s strong opinions, reposted a screenshot of the tweet on her Instagram stories. Samantha simply captioned it “Word,” indicating her agreement with Kangana’s sentiments.
On the professional front, both actresses are gearing up for major releases. Kangana Ranaut is set to return as a director with her upcoming film Emergency. While the film’s release, initially scheduled for September 6, faced delays due to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) issues, Kangana has confirmed that the film is now certified and will have a new release date announced soon. Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman.
Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is preparing for her next venture, the highly anticipated spy-action series Citadel: Honey Bunny, which is a spin-off of the American TV series Citadel on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Raj & DK, the series is set to premiere on November 7, 2024.
