Sara reacted to other actresses trying to copy her dressing sense and way of speaking at airports

One interesting aspect that sets Sara Ali Khan completely apart from the rest of her contemporaries is her knack towards keeping everything simple in her life. The actress often grabs attention for her simple choice of outfits at public appearances, especially while travelling to the airport. In one of her previous interviews with Hindustan Times, Sara revealed how this very natural and unique trait of her personality got copied by many other actresses, who simply tried to mimic her. Adding how she used to get irked about it, she mentioned:

“It used to bother me when I used to think that I was being copied. Like this whole namaste, it’s not like an act. I genuinely greet people like that and suddenly it became a template that every girl was doing. This wearing Indian clothes at the airport and going with wet hair and all like it used to irritate me when other girls used to do it.”

Sara Ali Khan talked about facing unnecessary scrutiny over her surname

Earlier, while speaking with Galatta India, Sara Ali Khan discussed how she often faces a lot of scrutiny for carrying her surname, which pertains to a different religious faith. To this, she responded by remarking how she was raised in a secular family, that respects all religious faiths of the country. Calling it her own pride, Sara added that her surname was something beyond any debate and she wouldn’t apologise for it.

Sara shared how her casual personality ended up making wrong career decisions

In yet another interview with Film Companion, Sara Ali Khan highlighted the flip side of having a girl-next-door kind of personality, as a result of which people started to take her for granted. Moreover, she added it impacted on her choice of films, as she went by her gut instincts and did not used her brain enough. In her words:

“Because I have given the audience, the media, just people in general, a very unadulterated, a very honest version of myself, very early in my career. I started feeling very empty. I started feeling very let down by myself. You have to know when to use your brain, which is something I forgot, because I was reliant on the brain constantly that it started replacing the lack of a gut, which can’t happen.”
